Seven Greek consortia submitted initial expressions of interest for the Epirus Region MSW tender

The first phase of the competition for the waste processing plant in Epirus Region was completed on May 28th, with 7 participating consortia.

The project involves the design, financing, construction, maintenance and operation of the plant which will treat approx. 150.000 tpa of MSW generated throughout Eripus Region, for a duration of 27 years.

The contractor will be selected through competitive dialogue and the main selection criterion will be the lowest charge/year the citizen will be asked to pay, whilst maintaining all environmental objectives.

Project value (NPV availability payments) is estimated at €90million based on 50% private sector partnership.The remainder will be funded by EU/state funds.
